I stayed here with my kids, everything was neat and clean, quiet and peaceful, both me and my kids want to stay here again. Not too far from great nature hiking, we did not do any water sports, but there's access to it in the backyard

Our team stayed here for our baseball provincials. The hotel is unique and unexpected. It’s not fancy and rooms are dated (but very clean and comfortable). What separates this hotel from anywhere we have stayed for any sports travel in the past is the activities here! The pool tables, lake for fishing and swimming, nature outside, fire pit, hot tub and just the sheer size of the building gave the boys so much to do. It was a paradise for kids 11-12 years old. But I’m sure it would be amazing for any age. Bbqs are available and there is a grocery store next door. We had so much fun. The kids loved it. Any time we would be back in the area I would book this place as my first choice. The staff was fabulous and so accommodating. They do a great job. You won’t regret your stay.

We had a small group retreat here- the staff were excellent at meeting our needs- dealing with any issues that arose quickly and happily! They met our social distancing needs, and even better- they put up with our particularly energetic group of ladies with a smile and didn’t even blink when we set up a photo alley in their hallway. ;) ( a few staff even joined us for some fun photos! ) The building itself is exactly as one might expect a government building meant to house scientists from the sixties to be, but the friendly staff, excellent food, make up for the institutional architecture. It’s not a resort- but it is a retreat!! It is relaxing, and excellent value For the money- you can’t beat it! And the grounds and courtyard are beautiful! We had several special events planned- including rafting and a paint night- both of which were a ton of fun and run by a staff volunteer who had the energy of at least three people! At the rafting experience the young men who drive the tubes and rafts back and forth offered to carry our tubes for us ( taking pity on us I think! Lol) and the teamwork was evident when guides from another company also offered to help is out! The front desk staff helped whenever there was an issue without any delay. We will be back! Thank you Noah, Kevin, Mo and all the other staff who cleaned cooked drove taught and in general made our weekend amazing!

Loved it! We stayed with our family of 7, for 3 nights and 4 days. The staff were incredibly relaxed and accommodating, it felt like we were staying with family. Kevin is a really nice guy. The raft ride on the river was a bit to long, we had some head on wind, but the scenery was beautiful.

Attended a long weekend enrolled in a crafting event at this center. The location was private and peaceful with activities held in a vaulted ceiling room with incredible natural light and bonus views of the lake and wildlife. It would serve as a beautiful setting for a wedding. The attentive, friendly check-in set the standard for the long weekend with comfortable rooms, great accommodations for the function and fabulous meals/snacks served in a lodge setting. Every staff member encountered seemed committed to making the stay 100% satisfying. This is an absolute rustic gem!

I was here for a ladies retreat and it was wonderful! The room was very clean. The facility itself is not new, but it serves it's purpose well and it was comfortable enough. I can see it being really great for families as well with the room layouts and bed options. I really loved all the natural light in the main areas. So many big windows and lots of comfortable places to just sit and read or visit. The food was incredible! So nice to not think about food for a weekend. There were so much variety at each meal and the servers were friendly. Thank you for a great time away!

The stay at Wilderness Edge was pleasant, as we were the only guests in the hotel. The view from the property is beautiful overviewing the lakefront. The room and beds were comfy, was able to have a cup of coffee from the huge kitchen/dining area. The young lady and man who were working there were friendly and nice too and helpful during our stay but other than them no one else was to be found. The hot tub was nice as well, the outdoor deck can be improved with more furnishings and lights. Definitely needs improvement on bringing more people into this establishment. This property could have so much potential in the summer it has enough room for a large groups and plenty of outside space as well or just even hosting small local events. We did not have any complaints while there. Thank you Wilderness Edge, hope to visit again.
